Good afternoon everyone,
Hope everyone is feeling ok and making the most of this weather,

Not been on for a while, had 2nd knee replacement and have decided to leave work, (my hubby bought me a puppy) she's adorable,
I am trying to get employer to finish me on ill health, doctor has said they cannot say I will never be able to work again due to new drugs improving
all the time, but I feel so much better not getting up at 6 am and not returning in till 7pm, I can chat on here too !!,
had assessment with benefits and they said not fit for work and put me in support group, so I hope that means my stamp will get paid,

Any ideas how I get this sorted.

I will post some pics of my baby lol

Hi Joanne. Do look into ill health retirement very closely. A union expert would be a great help to advise what your rights might be. I work for the NHS and there are 2 tiers to IHR in our organisation. The first is where you are not capable of ANY type of work ever again. Obviously this is very hard to get and the payments are more generous as they are enhanced by 2/3 of what you would have paid in by the time you would have retired. However there is a 2nd tier where you are not able to do your current job. I think you retire on the basis of your contributions so far. Good luck and please take advice as this is a complex situation. Best wishes from Naomi.
